Alliance Base Tooling

Ten semi trucks full of tooling from Alliance were sitting at the
Tulsa base for weeks, the trucking co. was told to take them
back to AFW. Before they left it had been decided to move
everything to Stroud Ok. The semi trailers are now gone any
body have any idea what is in Stroud?

Lots of empty space to park the trucks? And yes, I've been to Stroud... my in-laws live in Ada.

Perhaps it's just an easy staging point for an indecisive company. They can easily get drivers over there to bring the tooling to TUL when they finally get around to having somewhere to put it, or just as easily, move it to AAR in OKC, up to IND, down to MOB, or just about any number of other places where overhaul work could be moved.

Perhaps. I suspect if that was really the intent, they would have simply sold as-is @ AFW, and left the buyer on the hook for crating & shipping. Now, AA's paying demurrage charges on the containers/trailers...

There could be many reasons for this. Not having the space to store the trailers in Tulsa is damn sure not one of them. There is plenty of empty space. Where they were parked is nothing more than unused parking lot area and as the headcount here keep dwindling down there is just more room, not less room.

O.K Tulsa! ------Bad idea!------ It would be great if AA's changed their mind about AFW. But I really don't think that is going to happen! ------ But I've been wrong before! As for retirement, it's great! Come on in! The water is fine!!!
