First a little New Years Welcome letter I found online while searching for Albany, Colorado. I've edited it, but notice the highlighted sentence....

Dear Friends,

As we welcome in the New Year, we will certainly be considering some travel. We are the quintessential peripatetic society. But we need to be sure of exactly where we are going. [text deleted]
Word has it that every state in the Union has an Albany, but I confess I haven't found Albany, Colorado, yet.

I found it! When you type in ALB as the final destination on the kiosk it offers
1)ALBequerque, NM 2)ALBany, NY and 3)ALBany, CO as options.
Not only has the IT dept added a city we dont serve, it appears that there isnt even an ALBANY, COLORADO to begin with. Now, no simple mistake like ALBany, GA (ABY), no ALBANY, COLORADO. Dam*, I wish I could get a job with the IT people at US. (No experience required!)

Since we have a lot of new city codes I am forced to use the handy dandy cheat sheet in the front of our announcement book. In the book "AGS" is August, GA. I didn't know if that was a typo or there really is an August. I read it as August and sure enough DING-DING ten pax corrected me! I told them I can be only as good as the tools that are provided to me.

Come on guys, ALB, CO is Albany COUNTY they probably just used GOOGLE and did a cut and PASTE ...

I'm reminded of another problem thanks to SHARES and the not-so-bright folks who chose it over SABRE.
Boarding passes, tickets and bag tags issued to cities such as Portland or Jacksonville do not, for clarity, indicate the state. Also, if I'm not mistaken, flights multi-airport cities only show the city, not the airport. Instead of La Guardia, New York is printed. Instead of Ronald Reagan or National, Washington, DC is printed.

That is supposedly on the "fix it" list. (Funny, we haven't seen the list for a while).

When they uploaded the latest fix, it broke the fix it list, so now they have to fix the fix it list before they can fix anything else on the fix it list. ;)

Actually Jim the answer would be "NO", The Stooges are far brighter. I'm a big 3 Stooges fan and I could never compare them to Tempe. The Stooges KNEW what they wanted to accomplish and that was make people laugh.
The same could be said about Abbot and Costello.....whom you surely didn't intend to malign either.

I think the point is that both were very accomplished at what they did - create something that had exactly the desired outcome. But what both did was present an act that could represent how US' IT department operates.

And US has a flight from DFW to ATL (we all know that is not true but that is what Shares publishes. Maybe they were just wishing, Ha!), however, there are no flights from DFW to OGG on AA.(There is by the way.) All according to SHARES. I actually feel badly for the passengers that this MESS of a "reservations system" cannot provide the necessary accommodations that, I for one, believe they deserve.
'I bought a ticket from point A to point B. There was a disruption of service. The airline is obligated to provide service to customers that were able to check in before cut off.(30 and 45 mins. depending on the airport) If I show up two hours prior to departure, I expect to be accommodated on the soonest available flight to my destination.
How can one expect to get adequate service, if the tools that are provided to the employees do not work as prescribed. I believe that, once again, someone was sold a pile of sh++.
I rant on: If you call the "help desk or OCC", wouldn't you expect them to answer in a timely manor as to better serve the passenger? 30-90 min. ON HOLD???? We are short staffed as it is! WTF.
