What about them? DaimlerChrysler is still not beholden to shareholders by law. Chrysler (pre-merger) was. What's your point?

As far as "American" companies how many of them are registered in Bermuda or some other tiny island?

Some companies, including some that are typically thought of as "American," are registered in such places. Again, so what?

Saw a piece earlier this week on CNBC regarding the current unemployment rate in Germany, it's at 12 and change percent, highest level since the thirties.
