You are something else. You call people a liar and then you turn around and tell a whopper like you just did. AA would have 13,000 to 14,000 AMTs after losing 2500??????? There is only 7200 on the title 1 list. This includes AMTs, cleaners and OSMs. Actual AMTs would be around 6200 to 6300. So how do you get to the 14,000??????

Must be that fuzzy math we used in rivet layout in structures class back in the day.

Your numbers were more accurate once upon a time at the height of our headcount for AA alone.

Well sure it’s easier to count when it’s just LAA alone because the Company is contractually obligated to maintain a viewable Seniority list updated for all TWU workgroups. The IAM doesn’t have that in their contracts.

Besides anyway you guys really don’t want to count the “And Related” guys into many items anyway. But if we go back to the SWA conversation just on AMT headcount alone there are around 7000 more at AA.

BTW Metal another item that I’m not sure your AMP organizers know about but back in 2005 during one of the LUS Bankruptcies there were about a thousand IAM Utility Members who were laid off who have “lifetime” recall rights.

So now you have to add around 500 more cards needing to be signed before you can file brining the total to around 7500.

If it was 100% only LAA AMT’s who signed a card and no one else, do you even have 7500 Members so you could file with the NMB?

WeAAz, I will be perfectly honest here. I do not have the exact numbers and metrics of the process. I will leave that to the organizers, who I wish, will cross every I and dot every T so as not to see a repeat of the AMFA drive.

He is good for the amp drive every time he opens his mouth are types about twu and a/c maintance we get another 100 cards signed. Of course we know today those numbers are a give or take.

On a side note just by that list alone you need 7015 people in the space of one year to sign cards for AMP. That’s a hell of a lot of cards.

Why don't you stop spinning things and putting false information out. First you were caught lying about the AMT head count and then when you were confronted about it you changed your story and call it M&R. I think you are just trying to put a false impression out there that we have a lot more mechanics per plane than we really do. All you are trying to do confuse the people that are coming here for accurate information. On a different note the ass needs to put out better updates. They did say that AA wanted to do away with 2500 AMT jobs but what they forgot to tell everyone was that they wanted to do away with 1000 facilities maintenance people (Title 2) along with all of fleet that is not actually in the cargo throwing bags. What I heard is that M&R is a lot closer to finishing than fleet and that fleet is the one that is holding things up for M&R but I guess if Garcia and Mayes would ever show up for negotiations fleet might be further ahead. Peterson being in there by himself 90% of the time doesn't speed things up and gives the membership only one point of view when comes to what actually happened in negotiations.

He's not an AMT so he has no clue about the AA AMT's. He also continues to show his ignorance about SWA/AMFA numbers on everything. Something else he has no clue on is SWA started their outsourcing % with the IAM and ibt from the very get go, not AMFA. He also so shows his ignorance about outsourcing. SWA has pulled all scope ask off the table, ALL SCOPE ASK. Meaning our article 2 will remain as is in current book. That IMO is a great thing. It's more about the back pay, retro and the raises going forward. Plus other protections were "added" for certain jobs and headcounts.
The current offer for us is available online with all info there to be seen and read, he really is just making shite up about us over here as a way to try and discredit AMFA as much as possible. No one even believes him anymore as they know what he is up to.

M&M, if I am not mistaken at one time you guys had 18,000 at max. This was slowly cut down over the decades and now are somewhere in the hood of 7-8K today. All under the watch of the TWU up to now. Believe me M&M not bragging about our measly 2600 mechanic numbers but at least SWA with AMFA have been adding headcount not taketh away, although they were trying for positions this last go around and failed. AMFA held out for that well.

I’m sorry that I’m not absolutely crystal pristine perfect. Anyway it’s not me that needs to be concerned with YOUR numbers as much as you need to be. It looks like you need at least 6,500 cards (Not counting those on layoff and off the Seniority roster) to make that impossible dream finally come true after 50 or more years.

Weazz I,have never seen anyone talk about a no vote, as hard as he is now, Sounds like he is scared in will pass.The real reason it took 6 years. No one is serious when you meet two days a month for 5.5 years. No one is serious when you take 6 months to go from an AIP to T/A. When you hardly bother to visit your maintenance stations ,until you bring the whole negotiating committee for your vote No dog and pony show. If people were serious they wouldn't work all the overtime they do. I have a friend of mine I work with talking about how serious Northwest was to get a contract. The senior guys wouldn't work overtime , forcing the junior guys to go on downlines or overtime. The ramp IAM was serious to get a contract at Northwest. Because the ramp guys would purposely send the mechanics toolboxs to Japan, or else where so when the mechanics got to fix the airplane, no tools. You see SWA , knew we were never serious , so that's why it has taken so long. It's funny how Swampy stopped talking AMFA to American, because the guys aren't going to ride that dead horse. Probably explains the AMP drive, which I hope they are successful, because the American guys are serious.

Anyone know how many full time title 1 line maint mechanics there are? Take that number and multiply it by 2080(yearly hours), take the result and divide into 1.5 million to get your percentage.

I did notice more information is coming out about negotiations. Sometimes you have to light a fire under the unions butts. I still don’t understand why the IAM does not give updates like GP of TWU. Rumors around LUS is the company wants things done by September. I don’t see that happening. Keep strong union brothers and sisters!!!!

Who cares..that 1.5 million man he's equates to 721 jobs (2080 hrs per mechanic)....so we're gonna hold out til arbitration and gamble, and get worse forced on us...the truth be told, the company wants to gut facilities, gse and add turn the majority of fleet part time....that's why the TWU is pissed....all about the dues...
