Awaiting ferry to the graveyard

Rats.  I was planning to stay until my 80's in hopes I would gain enough seniority to hold a 767 line.  I really liked that airplane.

Flew its last flight JFK-LAX.

Jim, with the age that you started working for AA, aren't you gonna have to stay until your 80's just to get off of reserve?

Actually, Smarty Pants, I was on the Reserve backup list for February and March.  I was back on reserve for April, but I was only about 50 names from the top of the list.  Can you believe that someone with only 12 years (adjusted seniority date for the 17 month furlough) was on the backup list?  At DFW???  When I started with AA in 2000, there were people with almost 25 years at DFW still on reserve some months.  Between the former TW f/as and the new hires at DFW, I 'm getting close to being off reserve!!!!!  And, I'll settle for being on the backup list for the rest of my career.  Being on the backup list is NOT the same as being on reserve.

And the master of misinformation is at it again.

Actually it was AA 30 LAX-JFK.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

While I was in MCI doing contract work (been retired for a year now) AA flew in two 767-200s still in full colors and partially cateredto an outfit called Jet Midwest who is supposedly the AC leasing outfit.  The planes will probably be stripped down and chopped up within a month. Sorry to see them go to such an untimely demise!

Or did you mean that since that particular aircraft was photographed in LAX, that it flew it's last flight JFK-LAX?
Then your facts are correct.

Many 767-200's are flying as converted freighters. Don't be so quick pulling the declic on the guillotine.

JetMidwest chops up ACs after they are stripped down.  They were quick in changing the red stripe and covering the name and AA on the tail. two weeks ago they had already started pulling engines off and stealing parts.  They are not long for this old world!
