A321T

I know, 700 but I don't have to like it ;)

Probably a good incentive for me to lose some weight.
We all could lose some weight, lol!

How are things in WH?

I am thinking of making a visit.

The worst seat I ever sat on was a Mesa EMB145.

How did I know the resident DL cheerleader, (not you Art) would chime in too defend the All Conquering Universe Delta Airlines, lol.

There is the perception of less personal space, which may or may not be the case. That said the seats are harder and less comfortable and that is a fact.

All good in WH 700, thanks.

Delta Air Lines Inc. will be among the first customers to get the petite potty, and those 737-900s will have four additional seats because of smaller lavs.

Delta says the new lavatories are only a wee bit smaller and won’t be noticeably different. Space is squeezed from the wall behind the sink and one exterior wall is sculpted to allow seats in front of it to recline.

So WT your lying again, the lavs are smaller according to Delta.

Delta Air Lines has announced it will be the first airline to feature a smaller lavatory on board their planes. The shrunken toilets are expected to debut later in 2013 and are part of Delta's redesign of their Boeing 737-900 planes. The smaller toilets will allow for an extra four rows of seats on the plane, according to the Daily Mail.

I got to do a trip in first last week.

Overall impression of the seat, good, a bit narrow for getting in and out of due to the angled seat, and the enclosure, you cannot get out of the seat without putting it in the full upright position like you can on the 777 first.

The monitor for the entertainment is great, and the selection of inflight entertainment was really good.

Due to the angled seats, it is very difficult to gawk out the window.

In full recline the seats becomes a more than comfortable bed.  The seat controls are not as intuitive nor as responsive as the controls on the 777/767 premium seats.

There is a lot of privacy.

Service was good, I did feel sorry for the FA's doing a first class service in the smaller galley.  The aisles are huge in first class with plenty of manuevering room for the FA's to work around each other during the service.

reading comprehension problem, 700? or just your pit bull type personality that won't let you admit that what I said validates what DL said?

from the article YOU LINKED:

"Delta says the new lavatories are only a wee bit smaller and won’t be noticeably different. Space is squeezed from the wall behind the sink and one exterior wall is sculpted to allow seats in front of it to recline."

remember though that this is a topic about AA's new 321T seats and service... which according to the trip report (above) is a solid product but reflects the challenges of putting a widebody type seat in a narrowbody. Nonetheless, it should allow AA to achieve its objectives in the market.

and the Daily Mail's interpretations of the subject trump DL's?

You do realize that you would have to remove all of the lavs to be able to put on 4 extra rows of seats and then still go looking for more space, don't you?

do you even read, let alone think about what you post?

since this is an AA thread, have you listed to fly on the new 321Ts... remember you will board based on check-in time on AA, not seniority.

Off topic,

And US hasnt changed the policy for travel yet.

Keep changing the subject.

AirLUVer, we cancelled last week due to the snowstorm in the east and deadheaded home.  As luck would have it I got FC.  You're right about the angle making entry less easy than it might be and the difficulty in gawking out the window, but when we arrived at JFK I would have been perfectly content to let them clean around me, reboard and takeoff again.  I never wanted to leave my pod.

I'm now a veteran of three roundtrips, all working business aisle, and I love it.  So do the rest of my crew.  Many positive comments from pax.  Today I discussed the plane with three BC pax and all agreed they'd take the 321 over the 767 any day, even though it's a narrowbody.  We haven't had an empty seat in FC or BC all month.

My first impression is that the company made a good decision to go with the 3 class A321T.  Passengers and crew alike are loving it.  Not to mention the pilots.

This doesn't surprise me.  Most of the "I prefer a widebody over a narrowbody" arguments that I have heard come from employees. I have never had a conversation with friend, neighbor or family who really care about what size aircraft they are on. They are not airline people and simply do not care. they not care if it is Airbus or Boeing and most of the time could not tell the difference beforehand.
 Maybe it's a non-rev-more-seats-available thing!
I have a relative who does a lot of business travel and has already flown the AA A321t....He enjoyed BC very much and said it was pretty comfortable. As for the narrowbody preference, he said it doesn't matter to him..He is either engrossed in work, or catching up on sleep.
I don't think Jetblue and SWA loyalists have much of a problem flying their single aisle aircraft.

The I know that the purser missed the larger galley, but said that the single aisle was easy to work

Parker is a numbers guy.  You, obviosuly, are not.
Numbers guys usually work for people who have the imagination, vision and intellect to make a business thrive, when numbers guys run companies they usually run them into the ground , the whole while never understanding why their models never worked, they forget the fact they are dealing with human beings.

AA hasn't changed travel policy yet either, and if you non rev ride on a A321T in the near future, you will be processed by check in time, not DOH.
