Is it right that a 17 year, never been forloughed pilot be made senior to a pilot that brought a job to the merger?

Given relative seniority? With a merger, there are many variables.

Does the 17>1 crowd agree that the career expectations of their most junior pilot was comparable to that of a new hire, now with over 11 years los, to be similar?

If that is the case, which it is, is it remotely plausible that the only reason the 17 year guy should be senior to anyone but himself is because, all of a sudden, there were over 100+ aircraft for them to be bidding on.

100 additional aircraft that didn't exist at good ol us air. 100 aircraft that came to be because of a merger.

I'm all for letting the 17 year guy hold what he can, but declaring he owns all his and all my 100+ aircraft is absurd.

Hardly, since that then 17 years your superior in airline service would now have 28 worked years, and certainly not suffered utter stagnation in PHX meanwhile. How well did your "expectations" in ANY way prove predictive of reality? Do you at all still actually believe in such childish nonsense as "career expectations" anymore? Has the previous decade truly taught you nothing about the real "value" of "expectations"?
 
BTW. While addressing the issue of strange fantasies and having just seen the latest Game of Thrones; When might we reasonably expect your "cap'n aux", a "spartan"..umm..."knight" who claimed action in "many surprise victories" to produce yet another heroic video, or at least T-shirt depicting "him"self as presumably now a transgendered "Mother of Dragons"?...Or was merely "Dire Wolf" enough?

Lots of drama and questions. Let's make it simple. The new list is contractually enforceable in the eyes of the courts. It's also fair and equitable... And that's what makes pilot comments entertaining!
