There is more information under APA benefits. Click onto the "Booklet" under APA Voluntary Medical Insurance in the APA benefits section. Also type in "Voluntary" and search in the forum sections to get more opinions. Looks like the number one reason to have it is in the event you pass prior to age 65, it will provide your wife with medical insurance until she is 65 and eligible for Medicare. Insurance for Medical Insurance! It also seems that it might be cheaper than an adverage Medicare supplement after age 65

Yes, after we acquired the west we then had to turn over approximently 24% of our east flying to keep them profitable. You westicles have made out OK riding our coat tails, be thankful.

So...after USAPA's acquisition of America West, USAPA tried to help the West stay profitable by handing over 24% of USAPA's flying.
