1549 LGA-CLT

As someone who has posted often here in the past, but not so much in recent months, I cannot help but add my praise for Capt. Scully, his First Officer, the three flight attendants, and all of the first responders from the ferry boat captains and crew, to the NYC fire and rescue departments, and to all others who assisted in this textbook water landing and subsequent rescue.

In this era of doom and gloom, I was pleased to hear some good come out of a very adverse situation. On a side note, as a former employee, chills rushed up my spine upon learning that Captain Scully was from PSA, where I started my airline career back in 1987.

Tonight, I tip my hat off to the entire US Airways team and to the good people of New York.

Peace,

Jamake

It's about experience, good judgement, and perfect execution....USAIRWAYS crews are the greatest professionals in the world!!!!

Kudos to Captain Chesley (sulli)Sullenberger,F/O Jeff Skiles ,F/A's Donna Dent,Doreen Welsh, and Shiela Dail (CLT). i must say that i am very proud to be a usairways f/a .thanks to the heroic acts of these 5 wonderful people. they are to be commended .

I know Sully, and spoke to him often in the PIT crew room. He's a wonderful man.

And it is very clear that he was born and destined to save these lives on this plane on this day. I am sure he will give everyone else the praises they deserve, but he got that plane down with such percision that GOD's hands were on his, guiding him, and fulfilling his destiny.

Looks like they found the culprit of the accident today:

Sully, my friend, when I heard you were the Captain, the outcome didn't surprise me. I've known you for a long time and you've always been the consumate professional! I congratulate you and your crew for an outstanding job well done! You make all of us proud.

I would like to add my gratitude and appreciation to all involved in this true miracle. To the captain and the entire flight crew, an amazing amazing job......you did what you were trained to do...and you were on the money.

To the rescue teams and the boat captains who came rushing to the aid of their fellow man--hats off to you guys too...

As both a pilot and retired firefighter/medic, I am particulary proud of those who made tough decisions today, and ultimately saved over 150 lives-- I salute you ALL...

And to Captain Sully and crew--- BRAVO!!!!

As our governor said so aptly today--this was the Miracle on the Hudson.....

My BEST to you all.....

There is much to be said about the seniority and experience our flight crews have. I am proud to say I'm apart of this legacy. I am so proud and grateful for the competent co-workers I encounter on a daily basis. My thoughts and prayers are with the crew and their families! Job well done and God bless you!!!

For those of you, not fully aware of the area of northern manhatten/southern Bronx,.......if "sully" was unable to get to the Hudson, and had plowed into those 15/20 story tentaments, late in the afternoon, the death toll "may" have been somewhere(just) south of the WTC !!

BUT,

Capt. Sully..DID make it over the city to the Wide Hudson..........T H A N K....G O D !!

NO words are good enough to explain how professional the entire crew was/is....NONE !

As for the NYC folks, well just "another day at the office"(sort of).

Piney, got to disagree with you here for a Moment. Dougweiser needs to WTF..up, and deal with these flight crews fairly.

Again Capt. Sully,(where ever you are right now at 03:23 friday,...."They DON'T come any finer than you"
