Im not sure if im being stupid but why cant we all work together, im talking east coast west coast? Im sure we are mad at another cities/hubs. we all hate bad loads that come in.

Also if if we all want the same thing like pay and what not why dont we all stand up together and support each other for the cause, i mean if BA (british airways) can stop working for a day if im right, and they got what they wanted, why cant we do it???

This isn't the UK. The rules about wildcatting are a bit different here.

The consequences would be handled in ways that would screw up everything organized labor is working to change. It's excellent to stand together, but following the rules is no less important.

US employees are supposed to be better than that, and in most cases they are. We have made our share of mistakes, but we learn from them. There is no reason to take two steps backward now when we are all one step closer to our goals.

Interesting post because in another thread you just stated that we should all be happy that we had a job.

Taking into consideration that you're a newbie on here, I'll cut you some slack until you get your US Aviation legs.

Welcome!

in response to that last message. im also a newbie.. but a newbie to usaviation.com on participating. not a newbie to usairways. i have over 30 years with the company. you responded to the other Newbie that you would cut them some slack until they get usaviation legs.. give it a break. this site is for everyone those with simple questions with simple answers and those with difficult questions and no simple answers.

I'm sorry, but which goal is that? The one where we all make out, or the one where we all get s**t canned.

It was a joke! You know? In one thread he's Doug Parker and in this thread he's Norma Rae. Jez. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I think this is one reason:

If folks accept the status quo, that's what they end up with. I am glad the "east" employees "bi##h" so much - they refuse to accept that this is the best USAirways can be.

Here Here... Well said

The westies have been drinking the Koolaid for way to long now. The easties have had to fight for everything they can. Somethings can't be changed... For that, you accept and move on... The golden rule in a merger... is unification... Remember way back when we rustheads started the path of merger mania, no one in the industry said we would survive... Guess what... We are the most merged airline still flying...

It's the attitude of the west that curtails any meaningful movement forward...Its as if you feel something is owed to you...

Remember this wasn't a hostile takeover...
It was a merger of two parties...
Both brought something to the table...

The sooner you accept this... the sooner we all can move on...

DP will get his SH*T together...
If he doesn't...
There will be a new sherif in town...

Just my opinion...

How interesting, that's EXACTLY how we "westies" think of you "easties". All we ever hear is how much you've sacraficied, gave up, lost, etc etc... and now you have it OWED to you. It's the reason your mechanic voted to keep the west mechs out of any profit sharing, its why the east pilot scream "Date of Hire!" Hey, I nobody and I mean NOBODY was gonna step up to the plate like AWA did for you guys. Everyone else was circling overhead like vultures watching you bleed to death. Were do you get off saying that we curtail any movement? We HAD forward movement before hooking up with you! We were growing AND hiring. You were barely holding your head above water. It's the REFEUSAL attitute of the "easties" (I don't wanna learn shares, etc.) that keeps this place from moving forward. Just get over it, shares stays, learn it and move on! I'm not happy with Parker niether but it is what it is. I'll tell you what though, I'll take Parker over that slimmy Seigal you guys had anyday.
