The article you posted says he is leaning toward being named Chairman of the Board, not CEO. He wouldn't have so much daily operational control of AA, more of the direction of AA in that capacity. Like allowing him more say in the future plan from the fleet and routes. Sounds more honorary to me. Something to let him save face. Ok we shall see soon enough thenNo, the WSJ article clearly hints at Horton becoming Chairman of the Board of Directors and Parker becoming the CEO.
At least when it came out earlier today, it said nothing about Horton being named the CEO of the merged entity - it only identifies him as the current CEO of AA.
