What's the first thing on the list needed to be done to turn US around. What steps should the new guy start with.
I think he needs to open with honesty and get back to basics. Go with the money producers: Pilots-fly, FA-safety assist, AMT- fix repair, Agents-ticketing, Ramp- load unload. Minimun supervisory support cut out the middle mgnt. Don't make the same joke as AA and just move mngt around. A scun mgr is a scum bag where-ever he goes.
Come on US your other airline freinds are pulling for you.

Better yet....a manager who has only been here 2 months is training a newbie!

GOOD LUCK. We get the same BS here at AA. They hire people off the street
(no regular employee wants it anymore) "who don't have a clue" We got more people watching other people, watching other people so they do their job. Kinda sounds like the ol' USSR and the Kremlin or should I say Crystal Palace.

The sad part is the Company will end up hiring off the street to fill these positions. It has happened before and will happen again. There is NO INCENTIVE for front line employees to take these jobs. Maybe in the future the Company will think more like Southwest and make these jobs more attractive.
