Yup. And here we wait for the awards as all the upper officers got theirs...WNMECH said:They are trying to float this story now.

This was always Herb's approach to employees.
I sure wish he was still running things, we had a lot of fun back then.
About the last five years or so, we have been beat down with the company telling us that 15 % ROIC was the most important thing and investors come first.
Every employee publication or company update seemed to contain this message.
We even had to sit through a pinpoint presentation about it.
Now that we have blown past their 15% ROIC target and at above it consistently, one would expect them to turn back to the employees and reward them with new contracts.
xNUT,WNMECH said:No, you were right the first time. I meant Power Point.
It may not have actually been Power Point, but you get the idea.
First we heard, "All the Legacies went bankrupt and we must lower costs to compete with their contracts that were reduced bankruptcy".
After a while they realized our costs are still lower than the legacies and are saying "We must lower our costs to compete with the ultra low cost airlines".
It will never be like the other guys here, we would have way too far to fall.
But the slide is apparent to many.
The four main workgroups are not going to just bend over for concessionary contracts and work rule changes.
The bad will created by stalling all the contract negotiations while demanding concessions during years of record profits, could be the real damage done to the culture at WN.
When people start believing that management has been rewarding itself while demanding employee concessions, people start thinking we are not in it all together as we did before.
If the team spirit gets damaged beyond repair, WN will start feeling like just another place to work.

Others agree with me.

BTW B) xNUT,
We aren't looking for your sympathy.
Just responding to lineguy in a thread asking for WN employee opinions.
