Over the river
When I heard about the combination of USAirways and America West I had such high hopes. We were going to get rid of the incompetent management at USAirways. What a disappointment Doug Parker and his stooges turned out to be. They are no better and may be worse.

This pretty much sums up what most of us think and have for a while. Now we're just pisssed off. <_<

The investors that pulled us out of our tailspins put AWA managment in charge because they wanted to be rid of the US "mind set". It worked, all the wisdom is gone.

FWIW....A newbe...A very vocal newbe....But a newbe none the less....as the name implies I have HAD ENOUGH and decided to get involved...thats 30 if your are counting

The current "mess" has been SOP at USAir for 15 years. We're just dealing with the shock factor from folks who are new to the debacle. 5 previous management teams haven't been able to fix it, why did anyone think Doug would be any different? And if you hear easties harping about the "good old days" they better mean pre-1989, because that's when they ended.

THANK YOU!!

But might I say...These bozos have made a horrible name worse!! Thanks, Tempe. I guess it's easy to not care when you don't use the precious, all loving AWA name that had the BEST reputation in the world!

February, 1987: USAir announces the purchase of Piedmont Airlines.

I find it absolutely incredible that each time the long, 20-year downhill slide gets to the point where it must be rock bottom, each management team magically finds a way to bring it lower. Way to go, Doogie!
