West Crews

This is how the company handles the so-called work action by West Pilots. They announce a recall of the remaining furloughed pilots.

TO: All Pilots
FROM: Captain Lyle Hogg, Vice President Flight Operations
DATE: August 7, 2013
SUBJECT: PILOT RECALLS
As we complete our pilot staffing plans for 2014, we are pleased to announce that US Airways will soon begin recalling the 66 remaining pilots on furlough from our West system. Many of these pilots are currently flying on our East system and will have the opportunity to return to the PHX domicile at some point in time. Others have been working outside of our Company and will now have the opportunity to return to US Airways in the coming months. Per Section 23 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, pilots will still have the ability to bypass recall until there are no longer pilots junior to them on the seniority list to pass the recall class date to.
Please forward any questions to the PHX Chief Pilot Office.

The East may be ocerstaffed, whatever that is but the company finally is going to correct the understaffing problem I've been pointing out with the facts.

Case closed.

Ocerstaffed-I created a new word! Phone screen without glasses, sorry. :)

Remember, I wasn't the one claiming that you were wrong, I'd heard the same from friends. I was wondering why they wouldn't bring back guys under that circumstances. I heard it was because after the POR you would no longer be understaffed with the MOU relief. Glad that was wrong and guys are being recalled and upgraded. And while I'm at it, you were right. See, some of us can admit it. If you are right about Silver and the events after the 24th I'll say the same.

There is a reason I don't put you in the same box as Claxon, oops, I mean Cleary. I realize the C&V keys are together. I buy the glasses argument.

Fair enough, we'll see what happens on the 24th.

Same here, don't put you in the boat with clear, res jud, fodase, nic or metroyet. Absent this one issue I think we would see things pretty close to each others POV.

Having debated you for a long time, I think that is an accurate statement. We aren't out there denying jumpseats to those with opposing positions. Do the job, come home get on the computer, duke it out, back to work. Repeat.

Sure, I'll take a fine Bordeaux with your cheese, fly guy and Pi. I've had my fill of your East Coast whine and Pennatentary State College values. Your rust belt airline and union are going to be buried soon. Not soon enough for me.

I'm glad this embarrassement known as US Airways and USAPA will be in the ashheap of history in the near future.

That's binding, I don't give a damn if you like it or not.
