to veteran.. the CWA contract covering customer service and rez agents.. our recall rights are for 3 years not 4. always has been. many and i mean many of customer service agents who have been furloughed invol have not returned and have found gainful employment doing other things and realizing there is life outside the airline business. we lost many good senior employees during our last buyout in 2005. and we are now hoping for another buyout for the rest of us so we get some deserved cash that was taken from us and go on. the pilots like to fly and always stay till the last day. thats why all pilots contracts have no restriction on recall. its helps the current employee get them back if and when they need them.
Article 14-Recall-D line 21 page 68 of the Passenger Service Employees Agreement between U-S Airways and the Passenger Service Employees.
Furloughed employees shall maintain recall to the location from which they were furloughed for a period of four (4) years from the date of their furlough provided they have not refused recall.
I lived it I know...
Very good language and I wish CWA agents had lifetime recall. Keeps you on the books and the option always exist.

That's for aircraft without brakes. The AIM makes no recommendation for aircraft equipped with brakes.

Wow you guys are WHINEY!!! I hope you continue to kick,scream and throw your bodies on the ground crying. Maybe you will even hold your breath until you turn blue and pass out. But if you think it will change the outcome you are sadly mistaken. Go ahead create your slow down drive this airline into the ground and upper management will cash out and laugh all the way to the bank while you leave the rest of US unemployed.
Fortunetly most other groups have a wider range of options that will match our current pay unlike pilots. Drive US into the ground with your temper tantrum and the only one you really hurt is you and your FAMILIES!! Southwest can only higher so many and then you go to the bottom anyway.
The West FA's, Mechanics and most other work groups have had to bend over and take it already. You aren't even getting it near as bad as the rest.

One excellent remedy requires that the East pilots pressure the company.
The union never requested the company stand clear, just as the company did not.
Every time Dougie made public comment about "who bought whom", he was meddling in the arbitration. Each time he commented that one company "would go bk" or the other would, if the "merger" had not occurred, he was meddling in the arbitration. Even when he publicly asserted that US could operate just as well with the pilots separate, he was meddling in the arbitration.
As to whether the company wanted a different outcome, I am certain they did. However, the desired outcome would likely have not been advantageous to either pilot group.
You might, perhaps, try pawn shops to look for "backbone". Try starting out "a little". I would not want you to hurt yourself with a lot of integrity, at first.

your post is kinda sad there bud....Just out of curiosity what percentage is your seniority in the new list?
Now that you guys are finally starting to realize that there is no way to overturn this award the call goes out to live indefinitely under LOA 93 by voting down every TA..lol...Do you seriously think that once the company presents a decent TA your Captains and senior fo's are going to turn down an extra 30-60k/year, more vacation, better workrules, medical, and improved reserve? I HIGHLY doubt it.
All delaying a contract will ensure is that the AAA pilots will voluntarily give up a truck full of cash in the final years of their careers. Nothing will be accomplished except to delay the inevitable..A lot of us AWA pilots have 20-30 years left and can afford to wait. That strategy will be much more damaging to AAA pilots' earnings than ours.
Also just to clear up a little confusion your labor costs are HIGHER than AWA's. Sorry but it's the truth. Check out the filings. Everybody is top of scale on your side and as you've all stated so many times we have a slug of pilots on 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, etc year pay over here. The Transition agreement states that Parker cannot transfer aircraft however if he can prove that you guys are not negotiating in good faith I imagine he'll be able to violate the TA and shift your planes to our certificate. We would all lose in that scenario.
Safetystud your posts achieve nothing more than to tarnish the reputation of AAA pilots. You are a very senior pilot group. Too bad you don't act like it.

not sure what you're implying. Sure it's not a lot of money but take the typical AAA captain who is 55 and making 120k/year with crap workrules. Offer him about 180k/year with more vacation etc, and he'll make an extra 300k his last few years and enjoy his/her lifestyle much more. When you consider that most on the east have recently lost 1 million plus, an extra 300k could go a long way towards some kind of financial security.
Personally I think we should be matching AA's opener but I don't think our JNC has the stones for it.
