US running banner ads on their website

Am I the only one who's appalled that US is running banner ads on its website?

Some of them are promoting US service, that I'm fine with. But I keep seeing one promoting a Boxing fight in Las Vegas. How tacky. First Las Vegas ads take over the inflight magazine, now the freaking website?

I guess I really shouldn't be surprised at this point with anything Tempe can come up with.

Funny though how I didn't see any boxing ads on airfrance.com when I booked two tickets there the other day.

Here’s something I noticed a few months ago over on FT. Most of the banner ads were from the Ad Council cycling with the usual from brokerage firms, cellular companies, etc, that you would expect a FF to be interested in.

Now take a look at this banner ad on the US forum. This one would cycle with the other Ad Council ads, but none of the other ones ever showed up. And no, the Payday Loan ad did not show up in the CO or UA forum.

I know its April Fool’s Day and everything, but these are real screenshots I took. Just happened to come across them on my laptop.
