Hemmingway wants to give us a break on our insurance next year. [09]
What a nice guy..
Wonder how much of a break he's got planned for us in 2010, 11, 12,13...
I was born at night, it just wasn't LAST night.

I was told the pension folk recently received the signed copies of the contract so things should be set up soon to check on the status.

Funny thing noticed with the new bid awards today.....unaccounted for employee numbers, #'s with an alpha after, such as *****aa, ******f, etc. Guess the company and the Union didn't get it right after all.......such a surprise,,LMFAO...glad I'm not bidding anywhere.......yet.

Yes, it does sound a little difficult to dovetail together the two groups, after all they have only had the past 6months to accomplish it!!! Perhaps they can turn the entire project over to a grade school computer science class and I'm sure they would have no trouble integrating 4000 or so names together .....Bet it would be done correctly in under a week!!!

"As you are aware" the IAM does a poor job of keeping the membership informed. The DL 142, PAL 1976, and Local Lodge web sites are not maintained on a regular basis. Does any union BRO or SIS know of any web site an IAM/US/HP member can visit for up to date info on contract issues, grievances, bids/awards, layoffs, station issues, etc. ? If you got one please post, don't tell me to attend a meeting! I work nights in a far off land and live like a mole.

The best they (IAM) have is PAL1976. For bids/awards call 1-800-428-3876. Bid/awards come out every Mon and Thur.

Other than the meeting, you would have to call your LL grievance man. You would also have to know the grievance #. We are still in the dark ages on the web site. All business is still accomplished at the meeting. Also to hear the real deal you would have to have the AGC attend the meeting with district and local news. Some stations will have a report given from the chief steward on shift. Other than that your SOL.

MECCA asa PIT, has a few fulltime LL members. I would like to think they could keep up the locals web site....oh yeaaaa, there sooooooo very busy with all the PIT business, CLT and PHL also???? Naaaaaaaa, I dont think so....same old business as usual BS...God Bless the IAM, and to think 1944 in winston still has over $2,000,000 in the bank, left over from the PI days.....lmao.
