"As you are aware" the IAM does a poor job of keeping the membership informed. The DL 142, PAL 1976, and Local Lodge web sites are not maintained on a regular basis. Does any union BRO or SIS know of any web site an IAM/US/HP member can visit for up to date info on contract issues, grievances, bids/awards, layoffs, station issues, etc. ? If you got one please post, don't tell me to attend a meeting! I work nights in a far off land and live like a mole.
Other than the meeting, you would have to call your LL grievance man. You would also have to know the grievance #. We are still in the dark ages on the web site. All business is still accomplished at the meeting. Also to hear the real deal you would have to have the AGC attend the meeting with district and local news.
