Are we inline with everyone else for Obama's next great government give-a-way?
Considering Obama has yet to be inaugurated, what "government give-a-way" has occured on his watch? :rolleyes me self.

Are we inline with everyone else for Obama's next great government give-a-way?
Do you expect better numbers coming from AA? That may be an even louder "Yikes"I read somewhere else tonight (can't find it again) that the 1.7 billion figure was what LCC reported as a loss for the first three quarters, and that year-end figures were not yet available. Yikes! Can anyone clarify?
Anyone have any idea where the capacity cuts are going to happen? Mainline and/or Express? What cities? Anyone in the know?
Bob, I was referring to Christmas. But isn't this true of life in general? That no one "Gives" you anything?
Isn't that why company profits are also referred to as earnings?
And as an employee aren't you a wage earner?
See there is a difference between give and earn. I wouldn't expect a company to give me anything I didn't earn.
Even outlaw bikers have this figured out when they paint this slogan on their bikes, "Arse, Gas or Grass, Nobody Rides For Free"
Sad to say, but the profit sharing means nothing to the IAM Fleet Service group anymore. Just another "Little" item gone by the wayside as of the latest T/A.
This is unlike anything that has ever come in our lifetimes ... many of you are living in some sort of ignorant bliss ... off in LA LA land ...
Maybe you got a $5 raise, but not everyone did. Once again the Fleet group negotiated someting away that the other workgroups still have. Also, several people got more than a $150 bonus check...Shiitake Howdy... I will sure miss that sizable $150 bonus check for the year I had last time. I'll just need to wallow in my extra $5/hour raise "by the wayside as of the latest T/A," not to mention, a pension plan and decent pay scale in the future too.
So Confirms Jester.
Geez, you are a real DOWNER. Should we all just call it quits now, or wait until doomsday? You need to get out of this rut that you are in that has the world ending due to the economy. Either you haven't been in the Airline industry for long, or your severly depressed. Things have been bad before, and they will be bad time and time again in the future. This industry has seen many a crisis, and has found it's way thru. Remember the gas crunch in the 70's, the PATCO strike, and the worst of all 9/11? I worked thru most of them, and things looked bleak at times. If I had the outlook that you did, I wouldn't have survived any of it. Take it one day at a time instead of being so focused on all of the negative things that MIGHT happnen.it is likely that we will all be out of jobs by the end of this year ...
The entire us economy is crumbling ... soon people simply won't have the money to fly , and it will make no difference how much we shrink .... and before one of you mentions bussiness travel, that's going to go away as well ...
Some of you refer to times past and say " this is just another time like times past "
This is unlike anything that has ever come in our lifetimes ... many of you are living in some sort of ignorant bliss ... off in LA LA land ...
The US Economy will destory us .
