Us Airways Stock A Test For Investors

AT 1054 today, stock trading at 74 cents/shr on volume of 900,000 shrs. Looks like Allegheny County was smart when they sold for $1-$2/shr.

For a stock that offers tremendous upside potential, I like Delta a whole lot more than US. That's where my speculative money is centered right now.

But if I owned US, I'd probably hold it for now - look at the way UAL bounced all around since it filed in 12/02. So far, UAL has experienced several dead cat bounces; I'm fairly certain that US will behave similarly. Unless really bad news hits, of course.

I've been told that if one had the foresight to invest $1000 in Penn Central Railroad back in the early 1970's while they were bankrupt and the stock was a few pennies per share, that you could have become a multi-millionaire in the aftermath.

I have every confidence that Bronner will do the same for me in compensation for taking away my pension.
