On the 20th, DOT approved US's application to code-share with United to fly to Australia - Melbourne and Sydney.

On the 26th, US's attorneys reported to the Department of Transportation that no domestic party has objected to US's application to code-share with Lufthansa. As such, expect approval very soon.

I'm very close to enough FFmiles to fly to Australia first class. I hope there's room, because I won't go otherwise.

Business class wouldn't be that bad...

I called in late June for the QANTAS 1st class award, and the earliest they could get me there was in December. The agent asked whether I would like business, and I said that If I was flying in a tin can for 14 hours it was going to be First Class or Nothing if I could help it. She laughed when I said that and agreed with me.

Hey!!!

I just did four 12 - 13 hour transpacs in Business. They were quite acceptable. Two vodka tonics, two glasses of port, and one Bailey's and you're set for a SNOOOZE.

But do you have to drink them in that order? 😉

If you don't, you just start pestering the FA's mercilessly!
