Will Horizon be the next Amfa victim? Since their is an over abundance of Alaska AMT's, I'm sure Horizon has no need to agree to any of Amfa's wishes.
It looks to me that Amfa has backed themselves in to a corner and is lost on what to do next?

What do you mean by "our" spokesman? You are not an AMT. You are a coward that a promotes a union for unskilled over that of the skilled. And as far as being elected goes I was elected as a Shop Steward but resigned because I do not believe in the twu's anti-AMT stance. Have you ever been elected to anything? Is it not your amfa repped airlines that have the higher % of furloughs currently, due to their allowance of over aggressive outsourcing. You amfa supporters lay blame to the ousted unions for starting the outsourcing, all good there I suppose, but one thing bothers me, why hasn't your all powerful amfa, who really sucked at FM1 and FM2, initiated any hard line stance against the many airlines they currently hold BA over?
And Ken , you are real big about this alias thingy, yet really do not announce the fact that our profession is under attack from the companies, using 9-11 and Iraq as cover to delete unions from their very existence. You tout amfa as being the union repping the most airlines now, is amfa a leader? Not yet they aren't, unless you count the number of their members that have retrained into other professions, how sad.

Welcome back NyQuill, have ya noticed not much of the amfa BS has changed? Ken is still ranting about the alias issue (but only to TWU members) and Dave is still giving us his poor renditions of the future. Some things never change...HAHAHA!

I have announced that our profession is under attack also by greedy airline managements that use 9/11 and the Iraq War as cover. I have also mentioned that airline managements are simple morons by not raising fares as fuel costs increase. It is the industrial unions that swallow whole the company's tales of woe.
AMFA is a leader. They are democratic. They hold all elected officials accountable for their actions. The twu does not. What is sad is the industrial unions in the airlines that started the outsourcing to begin with that has caused many AMTs to " retrain into other professions". Now that is the sad part.

I agree Ken, amfa is a leader. A leader in outsourcing, a leader in approaching union brothers and sisters for enlistment, during times of their regression. AMFA is a leader in having the same president throughout it's 40 some year existence. AMFA is a leader in being owned by a real estate agent.
Did not the TWU hold it's officers accountable for their actions? Ask Shalk, Owens and Cunningham.
And really Ken, do you believe that amfa supporters, using alias' do not make personal attacks against non believers? Your tunnel vision is quite apparent.
That being said and all, what industry is next to be outsourced as ours? When do you think this country is going to wake up?

Action speaks louder than words and the fact is not ONE of the eight AMFA represented airlines has a viable TWU card drive.
Here at AA the TWU sheep are crapping their britches at the thought of the membership having a vote for representation. They are afraid of the TWU getting voted out and that they'll have to work for a living.
