UAL to furlough another 600 flight attendants

United Airlines says it needs to furlough another 600 flight attendants this fall because of the slow economy.

United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy says another factor is lower-than-usual turnover from retirements or resignations.

I think so..

being a Flight Attendant, I know exactly what others in this industry have to go through..in order to get on the line and then once they are there.. what they have to deal with...while maintaining qualifications, service standards, policies and procedures..

even though somone may be at another airline, we are all in the same profession, Flight Attendant.

it really bothers me, when I read any Flight Attendant is furloughed.
