To The Us Management Who Lurk Here

LOL, no, I am not a F/A. And only some of those miles are rollover miles. I think I have about 80-90K of actual tier miles so far this year. Weekly transcons with 1-2 trips a year to Europe plus 1-2 trips a year to the Caribbean adds up real fast, especially now with the UA partnership.
It's funny how I develop impressions about posters based on very little information. I endeavor not to rely on such impressions, but rather to focus on what's actually being posted. Otherwise, one can develop 'internet psychosis.'
That's the impression that you know somebody, or can judge character, from an internet bulletin board.

However, I can bet that AKAtrvlr64 is turning 40 this year, like I just did. But that's just a hunch.

Why YES I am. In July! Last year I celebrated my 39th in AMS with 2 good friends. This year I am scouring the US route map to figure out how to celebrate my 40th. I'm thinking the Caribbean. I could use a nice beach to veg out on.

I think this was a positive move in the right direction. I believe that probably there was enough pressure from our passengers for a better product for their dollar.

I am glad to see our customers happy again

PS: Believe it or not, I have 30,000 DM miles. So I'm also a Silver customer too. :D

That's not quite fair. ... I'll gladly pay a few [expletive deleted] dollars more to not worry about upgrades.
B)

Another example -- a certain hotel chain that I stay with regularly offers free upgrades to their best available room. That's a nice "perk". But rather than sweat the upgrades I'm often booking those rooms directly because they're only another 10% to 15% more. And they're clearly offered during the booking process. If US would offer me a paid F fare in a similar manner and at a similar premium (along with a rational base fare structure) I'd be a pushover.

Will you be able to use those miles on US in 6 months?
Who cares really? Hotel points are way more valuable. Airline FF programs are only good for upgrades and the other day-to-day perks (US1 line, priority boarding, etc.). Sure, I'll be upset if I lose my 1.5 million miles in six months, but I'd be WAY WAY WAY more upset if I lost my 400,000 Starwood points.

I got back from Montreal over the weekend, when I turned 40. A bit early to go to Montreal, but I met some nice folks.

30,000 tier miles or 30,000 miles?
