The Pit Papers On The 3rd Quarter

The top officers at US Airways cost the company a combined $23 million over a 12-month period ending with the airline's bankruptcy filing on Sept. 12. The 32 executives, 10 of whom are no longer with the company, earned a combined $15.2 million in compensation, were awarded $7.2 million in benefits, racked up $365,374 in travel during the 2003 calendar year and $185,119 in expense reimbursements, according to documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Isn't this a MAJOR problem...?

The last line of the "skiding" article says it all. Anything can happen. Hell is reporting snow, I think. Just my thoughts........

You know it's amazing! Is news really that slow in Pittsburgh for the media to be giving a play by play of the company like that? Good lord, no wonder the people of Pittsburgh are sick and tired of hearing about USAirways, you can't escape it! I know at least in PHL, you never hear boo about USAirways unless it was earth shattering news! Hey Pittsburgh Trib, give the citizens of Pittsburgh a break!

Most folks on the West Coast never heard of USairways. Never see any ad's out here or promotions. It's amazing how often Im asked by customers if we're a new airline just starting up. Unfortunantly, we're an old airline getting ready to call it quits.
