I understand fully what it is and you can twist it which ever way you want to, but by raising it, it only encourages more spending, which down the road we will once again have to raise it ! It's called a vicious circle !

You obviously do not understand it although the first paragraph of your post did explain it. Paragraph one has nothing to do with paragraph two. Paragraph one has nothing to do with future spending. Paragraph one only has to do with past spending. Read what you wrote in the first paragraph and don't waste your time with the second one as it is irrelevant.

I think it would be safe to say the debt ceiling increase is to cover the spending already incurred but doesn't cover what they are currently spending and if they have to keep up this charade, who will ever reign this in and what is the final outcome?
