In todays WSJ page A6 2nd column near bottom; "But labor's participation is crucial if the company is going to CONFOUND those who are hoping the company will fail"
My Dal neighbor and brother -in-law at SWA has basically said the same thing that he and his company would be much better off if Usairways fails.
U should be fighting to STAY in business to show the naysayers a thing or 2 instead of fighting amongst themselves.
This is not a baseball game. the competition wants you guys dead. how do you feel about that? better to stay and fight then let these types beat you .

The other airlines will get our few valuable routes and some market share. It'll be a bit of a boost for them but not much.

What they (OA employees) are really concerned about with US staying in business is how much US is lowering the bar by agreeing to these insane concessions (giving up scope and outsourcing rather than actually restructuring). Monkey-see, monkey-do... they want US to go away and stop making bad situations worse. I cant say I dont blame them...

Wow, doesn't say much for airline employees. :(

Hammerhead?

What a stupid thing to say! What outsourcing? Maintenance in Alabama, for one, and oh, lets see, Mesa, Chq-whatever, Shuttle America, Trans States, too many to name. Piedmont, PSA, and Allegheny are wholly owneds, so no, I dont consider that outsourcing. Nor do I consider the MAA division outsourcing...

Ask an AL and PI employee if they feel like theres any outsourcing going on?!? Hellooo!

Dont tell me to stay off the sauce, you should share some of yours with me since its apparently so rosy from your viewpoint.
