SWA Faces Lawsuit over missed Inspections

This is great for the lawyers. Members of the "class" however will most likely get a $20 flight voucher.

If it happened to be only vouchers....Not so sure that will be the case but for arguments sake, that is what we do best right?
The big question is $20 times what number? That could be a pretty big hit if they say all pax since 2002. As SWA tries to raise fares by $5 and they have to give every pax since 2002 a voucher could that not impact SWA? I can see all the receivers of these tossing them on EBAY for a couple of bucks. In the end they get paid and someone else gets $20 dollars off a WN ticket.

People that put together lawsuits like this will get theirs in the next life.... the moment people start smelling a problem, their eyes turn into dollar signs. This reminds me of the 5 New York Jets fans that are suing the New England Patriots because of the alleged cheating.

I know that the case has not gone to trial much less been decided and people are already talking about 20.00 per pax for a period of time. Airlines rarely loose much in the long run on vouchers. It is a guarantee that the person will fly you again and they might bring along friends who doesn't have a voucher. I have on numerous occasions had people call our agency and say we need to go on flight X because our friend had a voucher and we want to fly together. Also I would bet that a larger number of vouchers than expected just expire and get thrown out. A voucher also gives a company another interaction with the customer and a chance to impress them with their service and wonderful employee culture (or not impress for some other companies).
