Today starts jetBlue's first International Destination, Santiago DR (with SDQ coming later this week) and an additional SF Bay City - San Jose.

Congratulations on our first international destinations!

So whats next, in terms of international destinations? YVR? Cancun?

what about YYZ, CCS, or DUB... my best wishes for B6..i know they will be competition for Virgin..but i love 2 fly them

I think JB has the formula right, keep to 5 hours from JFK. I would add more south bound flights to sunny destinations adding places like Cancun, Barbados, Jamaica( JB can have champagne flights too ), St. Martin but stay away from the main land of South America. South America is a different market, (how many go to Colombia for the beaches?) it is a visiting friends and relatives plus executive market. Find another place where a JFK sized opertaion could be created: Boston would do nicely.

JFK777 ... youre right ... I just wish that JB would end their addiction to redeyes!

The redeyes make an awful lot of sense. As long as the flights generate more revenue than the cost of fuel and labor, B6 is better off than they would be if the planes were RON.

I was thinking since JB has already done battle with AA at JFK how about JB doing battle at DFW? Texans would love a long haul low fare choice. A JB base in the middle of America is what JB needs. Chicago would work too, but ORD is already full.

mweiss ...

I know they redeyes make sense ... but I haaaate redeyes 🙂 my comment was merely selfish 🙂 aguadilla is really a bizarre schedule though .. I hope it does well enough to warrant a day flight (flights have started off great!). JFK-SMF has been full since day one ... I hope that sees a daytime flight as well.

JFK777 .. DFW-NYC seems to be an overpriced market and I think the 320's would do great there but they seem to be holding off on DFW until the 190s for some reason. those 190s are going to go everywhere though lol ...

Ahh, OK. Well, when you're stuck on one of those, just remember that those flights are one of the reasons you have the lowest CASM in the US. 😉
