For some of you not living near one of the cities SWA is hiring at here is some info.  SWA will help/assist with relocation cost for some of these positions.  Unheard of for an entry level position, but good for the folks enduring cost to get a foot in the door. They have been short on Rampers for some time now.  Good luck to all that apply...

Southwest Airlines Seeks To Fill 500 Ramp Agent...

Yea, your probably correct.  Who in the world would give a negative for someone trying to pass information for jobs that is not even in my field?  Just says what kind of person they really are. Thx for the adjustment, but you really didn't have to...

I gave you a positive one swamt    great article  and good luck

swamt  is that system wide SWA is hiring?

It's not really system wide, but it is at most all of our busy city airports.  Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, some California cities maybe.  If I hear of the exact cities I will try to get the info to you.
On a second note;  We may be hiring for Mechanics soon again.  Some recent postings of positions in BWI, PHX and I think ATL went "unsuccessful"  therefore the company will have to go outside to fill the openings.  To give you a rough number I would say I saw about 10-15 pf these openings.  Watch Southwest.com careers faithfully and if get the word internally I will post for all to see.  Also with this new "epic" maint. program the company is rolling out they are going to have to hire more mechanics to fill the added maint packages being added to all our Line Ron maint. lines everywhere.
Stay tuned for more information as I get it.  Thx for all the positives.  And your correct Jim it's always a positive when any one is hiring for ANY group.  Good luck to all that apply...

thank you swamt.   I figured BWI would be hiring given SWA is the dominant carrier    I would not be surprised if in the future they end up with half the C pier  particularly where AA metal parks  which would be on C-4 and 6    At least that's been some rumors for a while  but given the construction at E and D  itll be at least til next spring to see what if any happens

Look for some future very big growth out of BWI for international soon.  From what we are hearing BWI will be pretty darn large for international flying.  So yes, there will be alot of hiring for BWI for many groups...

theyre advertising the San Jose Costa Rica flights often  esp during breaks in the MLB games.     Id be interested in seeing if theyre going to add Bermuda or the Bahamas as well

Bermuda? Nope. Airtran served BDA but dropped it in 2013. Bermuda is a high-rent destination. Very expensive and well-served by the full-service airlines. There aren't any cheap Sandals-type resorts that would provide 175 passengers each way. It's just not a Southwest Airlines kind of place. Neither was Key West.

thanks FWAA   what about St Thomas or any other Caribbean destination??
