WN will now allow DOGS(+ cats) into the cabin.

Lets see,.........jammed packed flights, screaming kids, and 50 Dogs/cats defacating in the underseat next to you !!!

I'll admit, that I fly WN fairly frequently, ..BUT...this goes "Too Far" !

I'll have to admit I never thought that would happen.
Guess that just goes to show..."never say never"!!! :)

There will probably be a limit on total pets in the cabin (my airline has a limit of 3 per aircraft). This policy change actually makes it a little more competitive given the fact it was the only major airline not to accept pets (except assistance animals) until this policy change. Also I find the animals not only cleaner in most cases, but a lot more behaved then some of the kids (or even adults) on most flights.

Initially the limit will be 5 pet carriers per flight.
Our new P.A.W.S. service starts on June 17.

I flew to BNA a couple of weeks ago and there were two service animals on board. I thought SWA allowed service animals (although these were "in training" and not "working"). Two beautiful labradors - one black and one yellow, just laying quietly on the floor in the bulkhead rows. Made me think about putting the "service animal" signs on my two labs for my next trip, although I don't think anybody would be fooled.

Labs are such good dogs. :)
KC we still accept service animals on board with no change in policy.
The policy change is allowing pets (small dogs and cats) in the cabin.
The charge is 75.00 each way paid at the counter dot.

For your next trip maybe you could disguise your labs as chihuahuas. :D

Service animals are not pets and are required by law to be allowed (disability accomodations). The company policy that says it's OK to have a service animal is not really necessary because the law says you can have a service animal (though it is helpful and convenient to have that policy). The new policy affects pets. Biologically speaking, a pet could be a service animal, but otherwise they are two different things.
