NORTHSIDE -- If you're an airline passenger who flies out of Jacksonville International Airport and hates to leave late, try US Airways.

How long until JAX goes Mainline/Express?
There are currently 10 mainline flights per day during the week; 7 to CLT and 3 to PHL. The only express flights are the 3 to DCA. On weekends, there are 2 RJs from CLT replacing 733s and only 2 PHL flights. As recently as 1999, there were 30 daily flights at JAX.

The loads on all of my recent flights have been excellent. Appeared to have some high yield tickets sold to Delta Medallions sitting in F and Y on flights in both June and early July. Last Friday, 1401 from CLT did not appear to have any upgrades in a full FC.

People are getting tired of the delays when traveling through ATL, EWR and MIA. Seems like the company is getting a second look, especially through CLT, from customers who had flown the competition in the past.

I've heard that we will soon be flying the EMB-170 into Jax. Exactly when and from where and how many times is not yet known, but it's coming. Hopefully it will all be additional service.

It would be nice to trade Mesa and their issues in JAX for the EMB-170. I know that some of you fly RJs for greater distances, but 631 miles is a bit much for me.

Another possibility for service could include a resumption of LGA, which used to be 3 Metrojet 732's or mainline 733's daily. Also, the largest market for which we do not have any non-stop service is BOS with approx. 85,000 passengers annually.

One can only hope.
