Question #1 - who's doing the ground operations on this flight BA or AA ? I beleive they used AA's Gate 6 at SJU.

Question # 2 - what's the deal with AA/B6 out of SJU? Will B6 become the new El Rey del Caribe soon ?

So why not? Do you want to argue economics or service quality at this point? Have you ever bought a ticket using the Jet Blue (B6) website using "lowest cost" options?

AA won't do the A/C maintenance, they will fly a Technician in the plane. Management decided not to keep us current to work in European airplanes. I understand they will contract ground handling (not AA).

AA's probably too expensive for ground handling at SJU. You have TWU negotiated mainline pay & benefits competing against companies like Menzies and Swissport, who only have to pay market rate for the Caribbean.

<_< ------ The economics of the Caribbean are a little different than the upper 48. Living can get expensive down here! Food prices are almost double because it all has to be imported. Real estate is still relatively expensive also compared to comparable property stateside, even in these times. People working in the trade down here can make good money, but that can be eaten up by the cost of living. And getting things done, can take a little more time, and effort, than what we're used to! ------So it's not all sunshine and beaches down here!

Fleet service workers start at 8.50 an hr at AA give me a break.More of the PURE BS THAT continues

Not quite true Red, we just hired 15 P/T'ers at LGA and they're at step 3 of the Fleet Service payscale.Flexible starting rates due to no one having much interest in an $8.50 an hour job.
