Not sure if anyone else saw it ... Leno made a joke tonight about Siegel being forced to resign. Never thought I'd hear US mentioned on Leno. At least he said "US Airways" in lieu of "US Air".

I saw it, and I just don't find anything funny about anyone being let go or forced from a job. Especially making a spectacle out of it on National TV. Keep in mind, the rest of the team was left here for a reason.

Sitting from this inside perch, I think we should let Siegel alone, and focus on Lakefield. Especially any "delusions of grandure" he maybe having at the employee's expense.
No labor group really knows him, and talk is cheap.

Concessions maybe necessary, but he had better be able to define "negotiations", or the door will slam on him as well.

Glad to see you have an optimistic spirit.

Give the guy a chance. Wait till the delusions occur before you attack. He just might be what we all need.

Here's the line from Newsmax.com's archives

In a surprise move on Monday, the CEO of U.S. Airways resigned under pressure. He was asked to leave out the front, the back or the two side exits.

What a stinker... his jokes are so lame. The only funny people on that show are the Jaywalking people.

It might have been "a little" funnier had he said the "forward a/c doors, the aft a/c doors or the exit windows. I agree Leno is tiresome.

I saw him years ago at Nick's Comedy stop in Boston he was Quite funny in his stand up days   We might have to move this thread over to a comedy board.

When U was having all those crashes and Chris Farley was a mechanic and Roseanne Barr was a F/A, now that was funny. Crashes sure weren’t though!
