Anyone know once they start flying only 6 saabs for us airways what cities they will be? With only 6 planes you cant service that many different cities. And the cities that lose shuttle will pick up what carrier?

Piedmont will most likely pick them up, or possibly Colgan as they also have SAABs. The oddball Bedford MA- Trenton NJ route will remain, I thought I read somewhere that there will be one airplane assigned to that route.

Sat next to Shuttle America F/O today. We talked about the United Express deal, it starts in June or July with 10 a/c leaving 6 at UAIR, but then by October 8 of their total a/c are going back to SAAB leaving them with only half of their fleet. Doesn't look good for Shuttle :(

looks like SCE,FWA,LEX,CLE,TOL,BED , and TTN will have SAABS after the UA deal starts. Sorry to those markets.

Looking at the new schedules come June, Toledo falls to a paltry 4 flights a day - the first time they have been that low to PIT since the late 1990s. Granted, at that them they were flying a 734, M80, 732, and M80 on the four flights. Once mainline pulled out they at least went to 4 ERJs and 2 328s...and well its been downhill ever since they moved the jets to DTW and brought in Shuttle.

Nothing like completely destroying a market they use to control - seems to be the trend of this airline. Hopefully before all is completely lost, the PSA agents in TOL will get to work their own planes again...at least once.

Airbiiguy,
CLE has had Saab only service to PIT for a number of years now.
