Seth Has His Own Website!

How embarassing. Well this proves it, Revenue management IS full of clowns.
Now we are letting them run around in the streets. Is this supposed to be the new hip USAirways or something?

OMG! How stupid! What's worse this little ditty about Seth:

"Let me start at the beginning. I work in the Revenue Management department at US Airways, where we try to sell as many great low fares as we can on flights to the destinations our customers are asking for. It's really important, and I work with some great people at the best airline around."

In a nutshell, the company is utterly F$c&ed up.

What a joke..is the company even aware and/or endorsive of this website? It's like an 80's lame Richard Simmons commercial for his fitness video. Next, will they adopt the Papa John's Pizza geek in a bird suit on the street corner waving at potential customers?

My goodness people, it's not that bad. Sometimes I feel like everytime this airline tries something new, everyone immediately throws them the hatchet. Did it occur to you that maybe they are trying to compete in a different way, perhaps to be a little more cutting edge with some different demographics? When it's all the same stuff, everyone complains that it's all the same. When they try something new, it's never the right thing.

Well, even though it's likely not the answer to US's marketing problems, at least they're trying something new. You can't fault them for that. I, for one, think it's kind of funny and is different... which is what this airline should be doing! Differentiating itself!

I agree because at this point what's the difference, we are already looked upon as greedy mean spirited nasty overpaid has been airline workers. I say hand the tickets out nude with a ugly guy and a beautiful women... :p

Ok, I'll repost my original comment- are his teeth also supposed to be yellow too or is a bad picture?

You have to give them credit for trying, but its pretty painful. Is this what the old folks think is trendy? Do they think theres a bunch of "young'uns" out there ready to take multiple low fare vacations just waiting for something like this? "Yeah man, US Airways GoFares are so cool, like that cool yellow-haired guy, lets go buy some tickets on usairways.com. "

I think they'd be better off sending employees out to raise awareness without the gimmicks. Has anyone from Crystal City actually BEEN to Philadelphia? Seth is likely to be shot.

The whole thing is just extremely embarrassing, downright cringeworthy. Thankfully, I guess, the campaign is extremely poorly executed as usual (lets put up a billboard without our logo or name, just the website in tiny print- genius). So hopefully not too many people will have to see this cheesy thing. I've told people that US is matching Indy Air and Southwest in PHL and thats probably more effective.

OK here we go……Go to web sight search for flights I used PHL-BOS picked tomorrow returning the 12th I picked the first flight in the morning hit price and got 306.00
Picked next flight and got 196.00
Picked third flight and got 256.00

I picked these same time in the morning going and coming

Here is the problem with USAir ways instead of just doing the right thing they try to screw everybody out of every dime they can.

I AM EMBARRASSED TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY……..

IF THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO WE ARE DOOMED………

I don't really see the problem.

If you're referring to the fares being different, well some of the fare buckets are sold out on some of the flights, but not others. No different than Southwest or AirTran.

If you don't like the fares, well the $196 fare matches the cheapest fare AirTran has available right now for those dates.

I really don't understand what you think the right thing would be.

When you don't have two nickels to rub together for an advertising budget, doing things like Seth generate "buzz". Whether you like or think it's tacky as heck it has by all accounts raised the load factors. So in that sense it's working.

Can you show us where it has raised load factors??? I would like some proof. As everyone on here tells the Captain....where's the proof. Piney, where is the proof that this numbskull has generated revenue????
