I urge anyone that is reading this to become involved with Kathy and I, as we have recently started to work on some issues that pertain to the reserve system at Usairways, I'm sure you can all attest to the fact that our $39.00 a month or almost $43.00 a month, does not afford us much! because we don't have 40 to 50 years of seniority to back it up! But as they stand in unity, so can we! Start with getting a part time job elsewhere, instead of doing it in the same office you work in, by via of giving up the only 11 days a month that you can a have a life, enjoy some fresh air and possibly become a dog walker, better company, and the animals will appreciate you better, start letting the block olders fly their trips, see how they will like not being able to drop down to 40 hours a month, my guess is they will retire a little sooner! besides all they are giving us are the crapy trips they don't want to fly, and we are taking them like good little puppies, because they got us so starved we will take any bone their willing to throw at us! In other words, STOP FLYING ETB, UNLESS ITS CONSIDERED COMPANY TIME, IF YOU DO THAT, you will notice more trips on the AIL which will mean over your guarantee, with out giving up you days off! Plan financially, and STOP the ETB! Be proud, and don't take any hand me downs! Its called job guarantee, they won't feel so overstaffed if all the ETB trips are back on the AIL, and the senior staff will actually have to go to work, instead of taking the time to attend more union meetings to take us further under! Keep one thing in mind its not us vs them if we want to be treated equally then we have to fight for it So if we are starved for money because of the reserve system, we are on call 24/6 then 3 days off then we have to work (OT or etb) just to make ends meet? PLAN for March 2008 YOU will have time to save money as most of us have vacation Jan and Feb and since someone here said they don't need reserves lets see what happens SHALL WE??
