Just got back from a trip down to our place in the Virgin Islands. And heard that AA may put a 757 on routes out of MIA to the V.I. in the near future. ----- Anyone else hear anything? Or is this just a case of wishful thinking on the part of the locals?

Which island?
Well, I heard St.Croix for one.------ There are only three Islands that make up the "U.S. Virgin Islands. St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix. AA only flys into St. Thomas, and St. Croix. But than again, so does USair. I wonder how that will change with the merger?

I'm familiar with the islands. I asked because you didnt say US or British. We just started flying into so e of the other islands down there like Point E Pietre and Fort De France direct from MIA. We already fly 757 into STT and the STX flights seem to be handled well by the 737. I doubt you would see them using a 757 on STX. I think they would deploy the 757 down further south with once a day service where as STX does well with the two 737 flights. I think direct flights to Tortola in a 737 would work also.
