I'm going back to work from a medical leave and have been told the electronic trip trade board is a godsend to being able to lower hours. Is this working for you and what type of trips go the fastest. I'll need to start off with low hours as exhaustion is still a medical factor for me. What has worked for you and what should I look out for. I dread that first month since training will be apart of my hours. Should I use a bid service? Do they do Dap and ETB? Thank you I'm filled with anxiety over this.

International trips are the easiest and quickest to get rid of. Pic trips that go out later in the morning/afternoon (past 10:00 am) and return no later than 5:45 pm.

The company puts so many restrictions on the times that reserves cannot pic up alot of the 2 days as they leave too early or come in too late.

Hope that helps.

Yes it does help TB. I'm starting from the beginning and any suggestions are more than helpful. Thank you.

hey guys, just a heads up about something I keep hearing. That the company wants to make the ETB trips "pay credit" for the reserves. We all better hope that never happens, or most BH's are going to be flying 85-90 hours per month. I don't know any RSV's who are going to pick up trips on the ETB if it goes into our monthly guarantee. The only reason we are picking them up now is due to it paying above guarantee.

The only way they can do this is if you are able to pick up trips on you days you are on duty, because NO one is going to give up their days off for pay/credit. The ETB isnt working this month in PIT, blkholders are not giving up any trips for some reason.

Have you taken advantage of auto awards yet? I heard from our MEC that you guys just now got this. This is something we have in the west. I don't know if you are aware of this feature yet. You call scheduling and asked to be auto-released from your trip. (Based on staffing) Our ETB is called personal trade board and the ones that are easy to get rid of are Day turns, 2 day trips (1 leg/1 leg back) and high yield 3 days.

At US West, anything you pick up is added to your guarantee and it doesn't go in to your guarantee. So if you pick up a 2 day worth 12 credits, they add that to your monthly guarantee and you get 82.

Sounds too good to be true. One and two day trips in the East, as the saying goes "Go senior to Jesus"....and I know I recognize some of those folks from Biblical times
