Republicans... the gift that keeps giving

It's a good question. If there's a surplus, I'd like to see it used (unless already committed to something else).

That said, fixing FNT's water issue is going to cost far more than that... All because Snyder and co. wanted to do go cheap.

I'm not a fan of bailing out myopic politicians, but if my kicking in some federal tax dollars means someone has access to clean water, I'm okay with it...

Sarcasm Alert:

"Kevin, how dare you want to give clean water to people at the tax payers cost."

Sarcasm off.

All you do is drive by and add nothing to the debate, no facts, no nothing, you would rather comment on the poster than actually adding to the topic.

You do it with me and Dog all the time.
Says the meme King!

No kidding?   Nice graph in the linked article to show you where it all goes.

In addition to the welfare myth, we’re also told that red states are the poorest states (which would make sense if red states really were taking all the welfare dollars). PolitiFact rated such a claim as “true” noting, “The Census data also show that 9 of the 10 states with the lowest median household income were Red: Mississippi, Arkansas, West Virginia, Kentucky, Alabama, Tennesse, Louisiana, South Carolina and Oklahoma.” Whether or not a state is red or blue is based off how they voted in the 2012 election.

In another case of how sloppy PolitiFact’s “fact checking” can be, they didn’t even take cost of living differences into account when determining which states were the poorest.

Or that half of those “red” states have Democratic Governors.

Report: 87% illegal immigrant families on welfare

— Restrictions on new legal immigrants' access to welfare have not prevented them from accessing programs at high rates because restrictions often apply to only a modest share of immigrants at any one time. Some programs are not restricted, there are numerous exceptions and exemptions, and some provisions are entirely unenforced. Equally important, immigrants, including those illegally in the country, can receive welfare on behalf of their U.S.-born children.
