You do realize that about 1000 US Airways employees lost thier jobs because these planes were outsourced from US to Republic to be flown as US Airways Express? The entire MidAtlantic division of pilots and flight attendants, numerous support positions, and ramp and customer service jobs in Pittsburgh and around the system were eliminated because of this. Despite flying as USAirways Express, Republic refused to offer the affected employees jobs.

You bet that I realize this, I was personally affected and furloughed due to the ongoing downsizing at PIT, but the reality is that US Airways management is gonna make a move one way or another with regards to PIT and any time they add anything in PIT versus taking more out that is a plus. They could be announcing that they are pulling more flights down from PIT, that's all I'm saying.
