Regional Pay Concessions

Since USA320 seems to think that the ATSB is in the business of dictating pilot compensation, how long will it be before they rule on how much a regional pilot should earn. Should it be proportional to mainline cuts? Are they willing to leave regional pay uncut for fear of losing too many off the bottom (the reverse of the Delta problem)?

Regional pilots shouldn't get paid. They should be happy just to be logging jet time so they can acquire enough hours to land a great career with one of the "big boys," like United or Delta, or even USAirways.

Wait, that's ALPA's position, right?

Maybe they want to end the disparity at all and establish regional pay as "THE" price for all pilots.

ATSB could care less what a pilot makes. ATSB was established to provide long term relief for airlines that could meet the requirments of the ATSB loans and debt repayment. They have now seen that USAIR wasn't a prime candidate for this releif. But as they watched the continued struggle of US to get it together, they knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that they couldn't do the same for UAL. Which by the way is going down the tubes just like US is.
