Greetings everyone. I am happy to announce that the AMTA will be donating another bronze bust of Charles E. Taylor to Southwest Airlines' Dallas Love Field Maintenance Facility. The time and date when the unveiling will take place is still to be determined by Southwest Airlines. Once that decision is made I will update you all. A new link has been created on the AMTA web site, WWW.AMTAUSA.COM, which will show the donation progress being made. The AMTA is proud that we will be able to further promote the contributions made by Charles E. Taylor, the first aircraft mechanic, but also of the knowledge, skill & integrity that all Southwest Airlines AMTs possess. I hope that you can help us reach our goal to raise the funds needed to purchase this beautiful bronze bust which will be created by the talented artist Virginia Hess. As always, thanks for your support! Sincerely, Kenneth MacTiernan Director AMTA

The campaign for the SWA C.E.T. bronze bust donation has started with a nice start. All donor names will be printed on a plaque to be placed on the base of the bust. Visit the AMTA web site, WWW.AMTAUSA.COM, for the SWA C.E.T. Bust Donation link for details. Thank you for your support in recognizing SWA's skilled AMT workforce. Sincerely, Ken MacTiernan Director AMTA

Senior Coward, or perhaps more fitting I can refer to you as Senior Ignorant?

What trophy are you referring to? Who in the FAA will present this so called trophy? It is clear to me that you can not read AND comprehend the English language. There is no trophy to be presented. There is a bronze bust of our nation's, and the world's, FIRST aircraft mechanic... Charles E. Taylor. This bust will be DONATED to Southwest Airlines providing recognition to their skilled AMT work force.

You seem bitter and insinuate that SWA AMTs are anything other than professional. Why is that? See, that is why I refer to you as Senior COWARD. You come onto a public forum and slander true professionals. Very sad. In your previous post you attempt to slander yet again, " a Get A Life Trophy sounds pretty appropriate". Thank you for the suggestion. But I bring you back to my fact of your being ignorant, I do have a life. A life that is positive in raising my family and rewarding in that I am promoting a craft that deserves to be promoted. I would suggest that you read my signature at the bottom of my posts. But that pesky reading and comprehending thing will get in your way.

SWA AMTs possess knowledge, skill and integrity. They deserve being recognized. And doing that with a bronze bust of the man who created the AMT craft seems most fitting.

A PayPal link has been added to the AMTA web site to help make it easier for people to make a donation for this bust of Charles E. Taylor. I am sorry I did not have it attached from the beginning but I had difficulty with the html code and just got it straightened out. If you go to http://www.amtausa.com/swa.html the PayPal button is on the lower left of the page. Thank you for your support. Ken MacTiernan

I would like to thank Mr. gary Kelly for his generous donation to the AMTA which will be put towards this bust of Chalres E. Taylor. I would also like to thank Southwest Airlines for their industry leading recognition of having a photo of "Charlie" on A/C N239 which recognizes all skilled AMTs.

Besides the bronze bust being donated to SWA the AMTA will also present a copy of HRES #444 which is the Congressional AMT Day Resolution. This resolution was placed on the Congressional Calendar on Wednesday April 30, 2008 and passed!
