I have noticed it has been a slow 2007 summer for southwest to add new flights to their route map this summer? why is that ? will we see any new flights added in 2007?

per gary kelly,"Southwest Airlines will be slowing down its growth plans."

In fact, Southwest has already announced a number of flight reductions in certain markets this fall. Granted, it is just a reallocation of existing capacity (with some growth such as SFO re-start) but is unusual for WN.

In a word, "No, it's not been a slow summer" and "Yes, there are new flights for 2007" before the 're-allocation' in the fall.

If you go to southwest.com, click on the link at the top of the page that says "about Southwest", then on the left side of the page click "press room" and "news releases" you'll be able to go back and see service announcements.
