Question On Gless

Back to sqaure one, Nightwatch!

Gless will not show his face at JFK.
Whatever, but I believe that showing a person respect, whether you share opinions or not, is a lot of how a person will respond back. As I stated, I corresponded with him with no problem, and I know Mr. Gless and I differ on issues.

How do you go about showing someone respect, or disrespect for that matter, if he refuses to show his face?

The reason he will not show his face at JFK is because he sold out the JFK mechanics when he was local president!

Code:
and I know Mr. Gless and I differ on issues

It would appear that many members differ on issues......

Buck, a truer statement has not been made. But I also believe that had it not been for the concessionary package, which brought loss of wages and benefits, the AMFA drive at AA would have died. Any wager on how many AMFA supporters/card signers voted PRO concession. AMFA knows how to take advantage of bad and changing times, think not, see UAL.

Then maybe you would like to explain these historical events...

1989 Scott Davies AMFA Organizer fired by AA for running an Advertisement in the Tulsa World.

1994 Keyon Wallace AMFA Organizer lawsuit against the TWU for violating his rights for placing him in bad standing for dual unionism.

1999 Don Rodgers, Dave Stewart, Dick Jackson, Patrick Carroll, Troy Summner, Kris Krisjansen, and Dennis Hayes with AMFA file a lawsuit against AA for violating Railway Labor Act.

Are you saying these were all "BAD TIMES" and AMFA was on the offensive? Is there ever a "GOOD TIME" to conclude that your union sucks and needs to be replaced?

Truth is, it is the TWENTY (20) years of sustained TWU Concessions combined with refusal to allow union membership control that breeds desire for change. Think not, read Jim Cook for President Local 514 campaign literature and ask any non-incumbent candidate why they seek change.

Yes the concessionary package did change peoples opinions. Especially those who lost their license premiums on top of the 17.5% in pay.

No need to wager, I am sure that many members at TUL voted for these concessions. The membership has always been told to listen to the union. afterall, the membership does pay the TWU. Again the membership listened to their paid representitive and again the TWU conceded to the company on all counts.

UAL, they are making more than we are even in bankruptcy.

The layoff issue is yet to been seen.

Yeah Buck, just like the folks at UAL listened to the leaders of amfa. . . . . .can you say devastation????????

Give me a break. More hypocritical crap coming to light!!! Better slow down boys, that crap is piling mighty high!!!!

You have no idea of what is going on at UAL.

The main point is that if the membership at UAL does not like their representitive, the representitive can be removed. Unlike the TWU. And before you make a fool of yourself, you know I mean the whole organization.

BTW, how did the affiliated unions at UAL do for their respective retiree groups?

Maybe this board could use some input from those at UAL retired or not?

Oh yeah, and it was free of charge lawyer representation, we prefer to call it organizing $$$$$

twuer, it was the iam that allowed the DEVASTATION to occur at UAL. It was the iam that allowed the closing of overhaul facilities to be closed not AMFA!

It was also the iam at NWA that allowed aircraft to go overseas. Not AMFA.

It was the ibt at SWA that allowed aircraft to go to outside vendors. Not AMFA.

It is the iam at USAir that allowed Airbus a/c to go to 3rd party work even though their contract does not allow this and the iam said they would strike if it happened. (No strike.)

If there is any devastation it is certainly not at the hands of AMFA.

The only hypocracy I see is from industrial unions in the airlines and from jim Little's mouth. I am still waiting for my promised full re-vote.
