priority boarding question

Ok all you SWA folks, please give me a reasonalble answer to this question....

"Why do you allow preboarding passengers to take up most of the front of the plane?"

Case in point....PIT to MDW yesterday. Preboarding consisted of 6 families with children/infants. They managed to grab most of the front of the plane leaving the rest of us "A" boarders to take seats behind them.

Now here's more to my story.....upon arrival in MDW these preboarders then took an extraordinarily long time in gathering their little ones and their luggage to get their behinds off the plane.

I'm sorry but preboarders should be required to move to the back of the plane. I'm certain there are a lot of people that feel this way. First on = last off.

IMO

Trvlr,

It was addressed,

From what I remember the company tried to have all preboards go to the rear some time ago. It was highly unpopular and was recinded as policy.

Being a stock clerk and ramper I spent most of my time downstairs so please correct me if I am wrong.

I think you sort of missed part of the point...what do you tell the gate agent when you have been assigned the middle seat in row 1?

HUH? I had the middle seat in row 1 on the return flight home that night. It doesn't bother me.

B6 is entering PIT and they will be flying the EMB 190's. That's a 2x2 configuration. No middle seat! And I would only be flying B6 to JFK & BOS anyway for work and not beyond.

TANKER already answered my question. THANKS!

I guess I must be slow then...Seems your original complaint was that preboarders were sitting up front, forcing you to the back and then you were delayed getting off because the preboarders up front took their dear sweet time getting their stuff. Then in another post, you were in row 1...you must really be a kind person to let the preboarders in rows 2 thru 5 get their stuff and get off the plane before you.
