PIT invited to compete for US Airways center

The lesser chance of losing employees would be CLT. PHX SOC would consider it and nearly half of OCC is Piedmont. That said still look for PHX but we will see.
Good point ..over half the people I've talked to in SOC says they would consider CLT, but definitely not PIT.

BofA is based in Charlotte. They, N.C., and Charlotte have been after US Airways for years to move to CLT (evidenced by the training center). I'll bet it moves here if PHX is not a foregone conclusion. Great place to live too.
P.S.- PIT doesn't "deserve" anything.

Saw no mention of MOC and the other groups.........or is it a given that where one goes, all will go??

The letter from Al C. says they are still evaluating whether or not other areas (MOC, scheduling) need to be in the SOC/OCC "complex" ..can't imagine why they wouldn't stay with SOC.

That was my line of thought too.........not sure how they are grouped on the east though. Heard rumblings too, that since corporate is in PHX, the main brains of the operation would stay too.

Oh, I'm sure that you'd get no complaints from crew schedulers or maintenance controllers if they were to move and their bosses were to stay in PHX. :D

BoFA no longer cares after BK II.

I don't know why B of A would care where the SOC/OCC would go. It is not like it would make LGA flights impervious to weather.

I think it would have more to do with bringing extra revenue-tax base-to the home city.

Happens all the time here in Houston with the oil companies ;)
