Pilots urge Management to fully complete merger...

Thanks for article link.
I am fairly confident that interview took place with an AWA perspective.
Nothing has changed on the East side pilot concerning avoiding a joint cba.
No St. Nic this year !

Well I'm pretty sure I'll be told that this applies to one of the NUMEROUS threads about ALPA, but the article says that the merged seniority list is complete and I didn't think that was the case (of course I'm human and I could be wrong). But yes it seems to be from an AWA pilot perspective and of course they would like to have a single contract along with the merged list as this would give them exactly what they want and they would be sitting quite pretty.

This a just public relations from the West side. Of course they view the seniority list as complete.

I heard that ALPA agreed with the award and HAS turned the list over to the company.

Yes. ALPA National found no wrong-doings on the part of federal mediator Geo. Nicolau. His decision was backed up by the two pilot neutrals (one each selected by each merger committee). The list has been accepted. It has been or will be delivered soon, and defended.

The west negotiation committee and the company have met in DC to hammer out the contract proposals. The east MEC has elected to participate in these JOINT CONTRACT negotiations as per the tentative agreement (signed and agreed to by both union leaderships).

For those east pilots out there that are NOT involved in these actions, you have a voice and should be represented. If this goes on for long, another party can and may negotiate on your behalf.

Don't just wish this away. Call your representatives NOW and demand that you be heard and represented. Doug has your money, and he is just waiting for you to ratify a contract proposal. Holding your breath until you get pay parity is not a way to get your next contract. Trying to get new representation will take even longer to get that money in your pockets.

Oh man...I'm going to go make some pop-corn and watch the flames ignite over this.

The seniority list has been merged in accordance with ALPA policy and the East / West transition agreement. The process is indeed complete, save for a few procedural details which will be completed in short order.

That some in the East are still in denial doesn't change reality.
