I heard a rumor that a big announcement was to be made last Wednesday,Nov.12,2014. So far nothing. Much talk about Piedmont getting RJ's as the Dash fleet is shrinking. Any updates?  Thanks.

The announcement is "coming soon" and has been every week since the new pilot TA.

Out of curiosity...if there are Envoy pilots/FA's affected by this...is there anything in place whereby the Piedmont pilots/FA's would give preferential hiring to them.

It just doesn't seem right that the pilot group at one company (Piedmont) benefits so much from the Envoy pilots' fight for a respectable contract...especially since they're both owned by AAL.

I have seen in a strike situation, where a pilot group has refused to fly "struck" work...obviously this is not that situation.  As it is, I'm guessing the Piedmont pilot group couldn't refuse to fly the aircraft...even if they wanted to, as there's no strike.  But would they have any say in who they hire and the rate they deserve?

Seems to me the Eagle pilot groups need to have a dialog on how to work together...and fast...or AAL will simply keep spiraling down to the lowest paid pilot group.

Envoy doesn't have the pilots to fly the airplanes, that's why they are being moved. The company even said that in the official announcement. I would expect the Piedmont and PSA AFA groups to lobby the companies to give displaced Envoy FAs an interview and position.

Regardless of what they say, it feels like the execs are punishing the Envoy pilot group.

The company is trying to exert pressure on the group to take the same type of offer that Piedmont and PSA pilots took. After every non-negotiable offer from the company that is not accepted, they turn the screws a little more. At some point, the company will make a palatable offer to the remaining Envoy pilot group. As the guys that have a guaranteed AA seniority number flow up, the demographics of the group change.
