The "A" F/A on my last trip had just spoken with the AFA Hotel Committee Chair.

I understand that we are about to lose the present hotel in PHX. Although there was an incident with one of the east pilots, the vast majority of incidents are F/A related. Included but not limited to the following: not paying incidentals, bagging food from the morning buffet, complaining about the price of the buffet, refusing to pay for same, taking coffee makers from rooms, in one incident the female F/A decided to dye her hair and ruined the carpet in her room. These incidents require a protocal so the hotel waits for months until the issue is settled, meanwhile they are not reimbursed.

Guess it will be back to the Tempe hotel soon.

I kinda miss IHOP.

Gosh I miss the old US.

At least with regard to hotels. They used to deal with us honorably and not put us in dives, however they also would track you down if you so much as left a .50cent bill at a hotel. So nobody did.

I despise anyone who acts like trash at any business and particularly layover hotels. All it does is reflect badly on all of us.

If you can't act decently at a hotel you shouldn't be flying. It's part of your job and you should be held accountable for it.

It serves us right. I wasn't crazy about IHOP, but I loved the gym and the walk to Fatburger. We can't always blame sh#^ on the company. Let's face it: We work with freaks and are own worst enemies.

I don't think we will be going back to that Ihop as a murder happened there, that is why we were moved out...

All kinds of weird stuff has gone down in PHX over the years for some reason. One time I was getting a sandwich in the bar at the Valley Ho (you either loved that joint or hated it  ), and when I mentioned who I worked for to get the discount, the bartender and a few regulars give me the hairy eyeball. It seems a previous night a FA got kicked out after getting 'faced and starting an argument with somebody. So he goes over to the Circle K for a six pack, gets seriously 'faced in his room, then comes back down to the bar and starts a fist fight. Not showing up at the airport because you're drying out in jail is not a good career move. I think he was an extra because I don't remember hearing about a canceled flight.

Maybe separate hotels (like most other airlines) is the answer.

Which airlines have separate hotels for cockpit and f/as? The only time it happens at AA is if one has a long layover and the other has a short layover--which is happening less than it used to. I know DL, WN, AA, AE, US and UA all have cockpits and f/as staying in the same hotels. Whose left?
